Paddle With Us

Join us for outrigger canoeing at our stunning locations on the Broadwater and Lake Coomera (Club HQ). We welcome beginners and social paddlers, with regular Sunday paddles on the Broadwater in a friendly and relaxed environment.

Whether you’re looking to develop your skills and become a competitive paddler or simply enjoy social paddling for fun and fitness, we’re here to support you. Paddlers of all ages are welcome—come and experience the joy of outrigger canoeing with us!

Our club offers dedicated Come and Try Sessions for anyone eager to experience outrigger canoeing! These sessions are perfect for beginners who have always wanted to try a water sport but weren’t sure where to start.

You’ll paddle alongside experienced coaches and crews in a safe, supportive environment on the beautiful Broadwater, using our six-person canoes. If you’re keen to continue, we also offer a four-week Novice Program, where you’ll gain a deeper understanding of the sport before becoming a full member.

Trust us—you’ll be hooked by the end of your Come and Try Session!

Please contact us to find out when our next Come and Try Session is!

We cater for athletes and new paddlers with a disability within our Para Va’a programs. Contact us to see how we can support your paddling no matter what your level of experience.

Whether you’re a competitive paddler, a visiting paddler, or an athlete from another sport looking to enhance your skills, we offer regular marathon and sprint training sessions aligned with the racing calendar. Our team actively competes in zone, national, and selected international events. Additionally, we host six-man on-ocean training sessions at least once a week, providing a great opportunity to refine technique and build endurance in a team environment.

If you’re new to the sport or a novice paddler, we encourage you to get involved and experience the excitement of competition. Our club welcomes paddlers of all skill levels, and the competitive scene is incredibly supportive of beginners. Many regattas and events offer short or novice races, giving new paddlers the perfect opportunity to build confidence, develop skills, and enjoy the thrill of racing in a friendly and encouraging environment.

Looking for an exciting, team building and/or social activity on the water? See our Events page and we will work with you to create an outrigger based activity for your needs.
